in和inside都表示静态，如果一句话中有并列时，前面用的是outside，后面就用inside。一般in表示在某个空间内，而inside还有掩盖、受保护的意思。

inside的用法

inside是语气很强的介词。它常用来强调某人或某事所在地含有某种特殊情况，比如：Inside the castle we'll be safe from the enemy. 在上句中，说话人可能想到的是城堡上厚厚的城墙，或城堡是一个非常坚固的地方。当然，某人也能把一个相当普通的地方说成是一个牢不可破 的堡垒，比如：He barricaded himself inside the house and started firing at the police.

有时说话人想强调某个地方的空间非常狭窄，比如：It was hot and stuffy inside the prison cell.

inside也可用于与外面的事情(something outside)作对比：It was quite hot outside the cave but when we were inside, we started to shiver.

in的用法

1.用于建筑物或建筑物内的房间

in the house 在房子里面

All the lights were out in the house. 屋里的灯全都灭了。

in the hospital 在医院里

The women doctors and women nurses in the hospital add up to two hundred and five. 这个医院的女医生、女护士共计二百零五人。

2.用于有围栏或围墙的地方

in the garden 在花园里

I got chatting with my neighbour in the garden. 我在花园里和邻居聊了一会。

in the courtyard 在院子里

Tell children to go and play in the courtyard. 叫孩子们到院子里耍去。

in the park 在公园里

On Saturdays we hang about in the park. 每到星期六我们都在公园里闲逛。

3.用于交通工具

in the train 在火车上

Yesterday I retrieved the bag I left in the train. 昨天我取回了遗留在火车上的包。

in the car 在车上

I left my bags in the car. 我把包放在车里了。

in the bus 在公交车上

I met him many a time in the bus. 我在公共汽车上见过他多次。

4.用于江河湖海

in the sea 在海里

I like to swim, especially in the sea. 我喜欢游泳，尤其喜欢在大海中游泳。

in the river 在河里

The level of pollution in the river was falling. 这条河中的污染物水平在下降。

in the water 在水里

The blade of the oar had entangled itself with something in the water. 船桨的桨叶和水里的什么东西缠住了。
